As a seasoned management consultant, Shahid is sought-after by CxOs and Boards of leading TMT companies, as well as sector-focused Private Equity firms. He is well-regarded as an innovative thinker with strategic mindset, technology underpinnings and execution focus. In addition, hHe is adept at leading large sales and delivery organizations.
Shahid is the Founder and Managing Partner for MAG, a boutique management consulting firm, trademarked “The UnConsultants” for its hands-on execution-oriented approach. He manages key relationships and engagements for MAG’s top clients, where he works on their strategic initiatives focusing on: Corporate Growth Strategy, Product/Portfolio and Cost Rationalization, Digital Transformation, Mergers & Acquisitions, as well as the launch of new products, services and capabilities, such as: Digital Content and Sports Products, Linear and Over-the-Top (OTT) Video Networks, Digital Education Platforms, Omni-channel Commerce Platforms, Connected Home and IoT Services, Cross-platform and Addressable Advertising, Data/Analytics, Digital Content Supply Chain, etc. MAG was named by Consulting Magazine as one of the “SevenJewels”, an award given to high-growth consulting firms.
Shahid was also the Founder and served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Mediamorph, a Cloud Platform and Data/Analytics company that disrupted and transformed how players in the digital content ecosystem buy and sell content efficiently and intelligently. Shahid conceptualized and launched the company in 2010, successfully leading three rounds of funding totaling $55+M from strategic Investors such as Liberty Global, Google (formerly, Motorola), Advance Newhouse, Lee Equity and Smedvig Capital. In 2014, he recruited a veteran management team and worked with them to scale the company to a global player with offices in NY, LA and London. Mediamorph won the prestigious Cablefax Tech Award and was on Deloitte’s Fast 500 list. The company successfully exited via sale to Whip Media in Q4 2019.
Prior to embarking upon his entrepreneurial ventures, Shahid served as Senior Partner, Head of Media Industry at IBB Consulting (now Accenture); Managing Director and Head of Entertainment industry practice at KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint; Partner at IBM Global Services in Communication Industry.
Shahid holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is on the Board of Directors of NATPE, a global association dedicated to shaping the future of the content industry and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a global network of chief executives. He was named as one of the “50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business” and has won other media industry recognitions. He is a frequent speaker at leading conferences, including Monaco and Abu Dhabi Media Summits, Variety, NATPE and frequently appears on TV interviews with CNBC and Bloomberg TV.
